Cain's 4th Birthday Party!

Wylie, Ashley, and I went to their friend, Cain's, birthday party tonight. It was a Batman party, so everyone was invited to dressed up in their favorite superhero costume. Wylie, as you know if you saw the earlier posts, is the Red Power Ranger this year for Halloween and Ashley is Cinderella, so that is who they went dressed as to the party.

The party started out with dinner. Courtney had all the kids up in their schoolroom, which was decorated as Gotham City. I tell you, Courtney had everything decorated up for the party, with Gotham City, Batman water, Batman fruit snacks, Batman cupcakes, and Courtney was dressed as Batgirl.

Here are Superman (a.k.a. Cap) and Cinderella (a.k.a. Ashley) eating dinner together...
Here is Spiderman (a.k.a. Parks) flexing his muscles for the camera...
Here is the Red Power Ranger (a.k.a. Wylie) flexing his muscles for the camera...
Superman is such a cutie...
Cinderella with an attitude...
Look out for that Red Power Ranger, he is armed and dangerous...
Here's Buzz Lightyear (a.k.a. Drew) driving the little red mustang...
Here's Batman (a.k.a Cain) getting prepared to blow out the candles on his birthday cake. I have to mention that Courtney's sister-in-law made this cake...can you believe how talented she is?

Brianne and Reese hanging out in Gotham City...
Here's Katherine, dressed as a Vanderbilt fan, since they came over straight from the GA/Vandy game...
Christopher, another Vanderbilt fan...
Spiderman and the Red Power Ranger having some birthday cake...
Cinderella likes to lick all the icing off the cupcake before eating any of the cake part...
Spiderman and Red Power Ranger in Gotham...look out villians...
Christopher is playing with Catgirl's pet cat...Courtney's Mom dressed up as Catgirl.
Batgirl helping Batman open his birthday presents...with lots of helpers looking on to help at a moment's notice...
Here, the Red Power Ranger is making sure no villians come and try to make a break with the loot...
The Red Power Ranger is sizing up Spiderman to see if he has a better weapon...
Cinderella just looking cute in all the chaos...
Every time I turned around, that Red Power Ranger had a different weapon...
After opening presents, all the superheroes headed back up to the playroom for some more goofing off...

Buzz Lightyear, Batman, and the Red Power Ranger in Gotham City...Spiderman and Superman had already vacated the premises...

Batman showing his silly face...
Buzz Lightyear, looking pretty fierce...
At the end of the party, Courtney gave all the kids balloons to set free outside...
Cinderella watching her balloon float off into the black sky...
Katherine, setting her balloon free...
The Red Power Ranger gets in on the action...
Christopher, looking a little devilish...

Surge vs. Terror

This morning, Wylie's soccer team, Surge, played Parks' team, Terror...they had a great time! Here is Ashley in the van before soccer (notice the LSU cheerleader doll, thanks Mom, Geaux Tigers!!)... We arrived at soccer early and got a good parking spot right by the field, so we sat in the van and listened to one of Wylie's favorite songs (Ultimate by Lindsay Lohan...it's actually a really fun song...did I just admit that?) to get him fired up for his soccer game. He loves to play air guitar to music (not sure where he got that from, he must have seen it on a video), so that is what he is doing in this picture...
Ashley, on the field cheering on her big brother...

Wylie taking the ball down the field toward the goal (unfortunately, the ball did not make it into the goal)...
It is hard to tell in this picture, but Wylie's team, Surge, is in the orange and black and Parks' team, Terror, is in the red and white. Parks is the one in the front of the pack, chasing the ball...
Here's Coach Carmen getting Wylie fired up to play...
Wylie taking a water break...
Parks and Wylie hammin' it up after the game. They were showing us their game faces...it was pretty entertaining...

Cute Pics

Well, John invested in a wood burning stove for this winter...we will burn this to save on propane this season. We don't have a cat, we just have a Wylie...he's much cuter, don't you think?
John starting reading "Five Little Monkeys Wash the Car" to the kids the other day. It was so cute, I had to get a pic...
Or two...
After about the second page of John reading the book, Wylie said, "You're not reading the words right" and then he made this face. Daddy and Mommy read the book very differently, and apparently he was not liking the change...
