Wylie's 1st Soccer Game

Today was Wylie's firt soccer game...Surge vs. Rush (Wylie's team is "Surge"). They had team pictures before the game, and then headed over to the field for their first game of the season. It was a slow start, but then they got warmed up. The team they played had some good players, and were a challenge for them but they did a great job.

Here are some pictures of Surge before the game, sitting on the sidelines (Wylie is second from the left on the bench) and then warming up for the game...
(Wylie is fifth from the left...in the first shot, it looks like Wylie is the fourth from the left because you can't see one of the boys)...

Here is a video of the game. If you have a hard time figuring out which one is Wylie, he is the smallest player on the team, but very excited. You will see him bouncing and hopping around a lot. Remember, Wylie's team is in the orange jerseys.

Wylie's Soccer Practice

Wylie did great at soccer practice today. He and his team were really into it and were fun to watch. They split the team and played three on three to practice for their first game this Saturday. Here is a video of the highlights from practice today:

2nd Day of School

I got Wylie and Ashley all loaded up in the van to go to school today for their 2nd day of school, and I took this video before we left the house...

Soccer Practice

Wylie had soccer practice again today. He goes every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Tonight, they got their uniforms...Wylie is #6. He was so excited he put his jersey on right then. Wylie's team is called The Surge. They have their first game this Saturday...I have a feeling it may get rained out from the after effects of Hurricane Hanna. We'll see! They have their team photos on Saturday morning, so if they don't get to play, they will at least get their pictures taken in their uniforms.

Here are some photos of Wylie in soccer practice, doing all their drills and getting better at controlling the ball. This is a shot of Wylie practicing with his team. Wylie's coach, Coach Carmen, is right behind them in the white shirt. The man in the blue shirt is the other coach, also one of the player's Dad.

When we got home from practice, Wylie wanted to surprise Daddy and show him his new soccer uniform. He went into John's office, where John was on the computer, and said, "Champion soccer player in the house." It was so cute...Wylie was so proud!!

First Day of School!!

Today was Wylie and Ashley's first day of school. Wylie went to Oconee Baptist Preschool (a great church preschool down the road from us) last year, and was excited to go back this year. Ashley has been excited to "go to school with Wylie," but she got a little apprehensive this morning before we left for school. She ended up having a great time!
